Escape Pod is the premier science fiction podcast magazine. Every week we bring you short stories from some of today’s best science fiction authors and rising stars.

We pay our authors, but we will always be 100% free. We are supported through listener donations and sponsorship, so if you like what you hear, please consider donating through the PayPal or Patreon links on our site!

Hosts

As of 2017, Escape Pod was co-edited by Divya Breed and Mur Lafferty. They co-host the episodes along with Tina Connolly.

From 2015-2017, Escape Pod was co-hosted by Norm Sherman, Alasdair Stuart, and Tina Connolly.

Steve Eley hosted the show from its founding in 2005 until announcing his retirement on 26 April 2010. His last appearance was Episode 240 on 12 May 2010. Mur Lafferty assumed both producer and hosting roles at Escape Pod with Episode 241.

Effective 1 January 2013, Mur stepped down as editor, keeping her association with Escape Artists, Inc. On 18 December 2012, then-co-host Norm Sherman became the new editor with Alasdair Stuart serving as interim editor until Sherman assumed his new role.

In April, 2017, Norm Sherman stepped down as editor. Mur Lafferty returned to her role along with Divya Breed.

Stories

The stories are the reason for all of what you see here. Escape Artists podcasts pay $0.06 per word for original fiction; $100.00 flat rate for reprints of any length. We are an SFWA qualifying market for original fiction and pay professional rates.
